Year 5 – 11 Plus
When children start our Year 5 One Year Course in September, they have one year of preparation time before they take their 11+ exams. During this period, our Year 5 pupils grow in their knowledge of subjects and develop the skill sets they require to pass the 11+. They will also develop the literacy and numeracy skills required for secondary school education.
Our 11+ courses prepare children in English, maths, verbal reasoning and non-verbal reasoning.
Pupils attend weekly sessions for either 2 hours or 3 hours 30 minutes, with up to one hour of homework per night. Each group is taught by our experienced teacher, and a classroom assistants provide one-to-one support.
Year 4 – Pre 11 Plus
This course is ideal for pupils who were not enrolled on the Year 3 One Year 11+ course. It is more intensive because it covers the necessary knowledge from Year 3. However, we believe that the earlier a child begins preparing for the 11+ exams, the smoother their journey will be. Starting 11+ preparation in Year 4 provides more time for children to develop the confidence and skills required to pass the 11+.
This course prepares children in English, maths, verbal reasoning and non-verbal reasoning.
Pupils attend weekly sessions for 2 hours, with 45 minutes of homework per night. Each group is taught by our experienced teacher, and a classroom assistants provide one-to-one support.
Year 3 – Pre 11 Plus
We believe that the earlier a child begins preparing for the 11+ exams, the smoother their journey will be. Year 3 is ideal early preparation. This allows a child to get a head start in acquiring the knowledge and developing the skill sets required to pass the 11+.
Our 11+ courses prepare children in English, maths, verbal reasoning and non-verbal reasoning.
Pupils attend weekly sessions for 2 hours with 30 minutes of homework per night. Each group is taught by an experienced teacher, and a team of classroom assistants provide one-to-one support.
